Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to the use of this Website and by accessing this Website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions you may not use or access this Website.
Description of products:
We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information including product descriptions appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order.
Your order:
The contract in respect of the products supplied by us to you comes into existence when your order has been accepted by us. Receipt of an order via our Website does not constitute acceptance on an order and orders will not be processed until payment details have been received and verified.
Your Right To Cancel:
You have the right to cancel your order with us prior to us sending you the goods. Please note that if your order has been dispatched we are unable to cancel it and therefore costs are at your expense. If Credit/Debit card details have been processed then an admin fee may be charged to cover card transaction costs.
Our rights:
We reserve the right to modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this Website (or any part thereof) with or without notice to you and you confirm that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to or withdrawal of the Website, changes in the Conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the Website (or any part thereof) following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change.
Representations of colour are approximate due to the limitation of photographic and calibrations of different output devices. All goods are subject to availability. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the Conditions have been changed. If you do not agree to any change to the Conditions then you must immediately stop using the Website.
Delivery:
Deliveries will be by a third party (Parcel Force or Royal Mail) in mainland Uk. Minimum delivery charges are as follows:
Order value £50 and over - FREE
Order value under £50 - £5.30
Free delivery refers to mainland UK only. There may be additional costs on delivery to some areas eg.Highlands of Scotland and Isle of Wight, Ireland etc.. Deliveries are normally Monday to Friday (Saturday delivery can be arranged at extra cost).
We aim to deliver all orders (excluding furniture) within 5 to 10 working days. As customer service is important to us, if any of the goods you order are out of stock or any problems arise, we will always endeavour to advise you and keep you up to date. Important: As we send e-mail updates on the status of your order, if you use e-mail filtering please ensure that this allows e-mails from us.
Furniture orders may take up to 28 days to deliver. Details will be confirmed as soon as possible after receipt of order.
Direct delivery products
Certain items are delivered to you direct from our suppliers, this is clearly stated on each product if this is the case. Should these items be unavailable we will advise you immediately and process the refund.
As these products are delivered directly from the supplier The Internet Baby Shop does not ship these products and hence cannot offer Saturday delivery on them. Please do not select the Saturday delivery option for these products.
Most of our furniture products can only be delivered to Mainland UK - please contact us before placing an order if you wish for delivery outside of mainland UK - extra shipping charges will apply.
For all deliveries we are bound by the couriers terms and conditions
Returns:
Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, if you've received goods and have simply changed your mind about purchasing them, you may return the goods to us for credit (less postage costs), subject to the following conditions
The item(s) is in stock condition i.e as it was when it was delivered to you.
You inform us of your desire to cancel within seven working days of receipt of the product(s).
You pay the return delivery charges.
Goods are returned as soon as possible in order that your credit can be actioned within 30 days.
Goods are returned in a re-saleable condition and in their original packaging.
If goods are refused by us because the above critera is not met, we'll return them to the customer and also charge the customer's credit/debit card for the cost of the carriage.
Product Guarantee:
All prams & pushchairs purchased from this site (unless they have been discontinued by the manufacturer or have become obsolete) are covered by a 6 months manufacturers guarantee.
We will exchange or arrange repair of any product if it displays a manufacturing fault within 28 days. We may require the product back first for inspection.
Damage caused by misuse is not covered by this guarantee and therefore a charge may be made.
This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
All goods must be checked and any faults reported to us within 7 days of receiving the items.
Placing An Order / Making Payment:
All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus delivery charges where applicable as set out in this Website. Payment can be made via this web site using your credit or debit card.
All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
When you place an order on the web site you will receive an automated e-mail stating that the transaction has been successful and that goods will be shipped as soon as possible. This does not constitute acceptance of your order until such time as payment is verified. If you have e-mail filtering please check that our e-mails are not being sent to your 'junk' folder.
If you do not wish to pay by debit/credit card, you may post your order (01442 268493, 195 Northridge Way, Hemel Hempstead, Herts HP1 2AS or sales@theinternetbabyshop.co.uk) and pay by cheque made out to "The Internet Baby Shop". Goods purchased in this way will not be despatched until clearance of the cheque has been obtained.

WEEE Regulations:
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.
The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.
· Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.
· Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.
Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.
The Internet Baby Shop is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.
For example, if a customer bought a new baby monitor from us we would accept their old baby monitor and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item. Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol.Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
